Multiple news reports have indicated that the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall for all units of Bristol Valley Cocktail glasses that come with sheer rims after the company learned of 16 incidents associated with the glasses.
According to the CPSC, one of the incidents resulted in minor lacerations. The official recall announcement is associated with about 218,000 units of the Bristol Valley Cocktail Glasses with sheer rim sold nationwide between January 2013 and November 2013. Consumers with the recalled units should stop allowing the use of the glasses in their establishments and contact the place of purchase in order to avoid incidents and make sure that these glasses do not pose laceration risks to other consumers. Libbey, the company behind this recall, is urging consumers with the recalled items to act promptly.
