Zero Recalls Motorcycles Over Possible Overheating Issue

Post On 07-01-2013

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has reported recently that Zero Motorcycles Inc. issued a recall for all units of the 2013 FX motorcycles over a possible burn risk.

The vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between January 16 and May 20, 2013. These vehicles might be affected by a manufacturing defect that could cause the battery to be affected by water that would penetrate due to a sealant failure. These vehicles could experience a possible temperature increase if water penetrates into the battery while the vehicle is in use. The company has stated that at this moment, affected vehicle owners are being notified.

According to the official reports, recalled motorcycles will be inspected and repaired for free at authorized dealers.
